  • Rev. Dr. Eric Lohe

    LEAD PASTOR

    Eric is the founding and Lead Pastor of CrossRoads. He finds his greatest joy in seeing Jesus change people's lives. Eric is heavily involved in the community having served as President of the Westfield Chamber of Commerce and as a Member of the Westfield Fire Merit Board. He is a graduate of of Union Seminary in Virginia (D.Min), the Presbyterian School of Christian Education (M.A.) and the University of Florida (B.S. in Chemistry.) His passion is the spiritual growth of God's people and loves mission trips as a means for accelerated growth in Christ (he has served on more than 95 week-long missions!). He loves his wife Carol, Chick-fil-A, music from the Passion movement, and his daughters Kristen and Greta.

  • Kurt Heinzman

    DIRECTOR OF MUSIC

    Kurt is a gifted musician, former traveling band member, and has a great passion for excellence in worshipping God. Kurt's voice is exceptional and his steadfastness in leadership of our band Intersection has made our worship music a highlight for many. Professionally, Kurt works as a Liberty Management System Coach at Safeco Insurance. He enjoys playing music in the community, attending Rennaisance fairs, and spending time with his wife Charlene and sons Keaton and Kellen. He is also an author, having completed his first novel in 2012.

  • Karen Thornberry

    OFFICE  AND FINANCIAL MANAGER

    Karen has a great love for seeing the local church excel and works as our part-time office administrator. During the week, she also works at Indiana Farmers Mutual Insurance. She is married to Doug, and they have three adult children. She is an avid Colts fan, supporter of breast cancer research, and loves eating at Chick-fil-A.

  • Sarah Melvin

    DIRECTOR OF MISSIONS AND ADMINISTRATION

    Born in Illinois, Sarah has always enjoyed serving locally and on mission trips.  In the summers of 2016 and 2017 she worked for Group Mission Trips as a Crew Manager, serving at multiple Workcamps across the United States. Her last camp as a Summer Staffer in 2017 was in Midland, MI, where she would later move to. In June 2021, she came to Westfield to serve on staff at CrossRoads' Workcamp.  After spending eight months in Colorado serving as an intern for Group Mission Trips, she moved back to Westfield to be part of the local ministry and outreach happening here.  She is grateful for the opportunity to serve on staff at CrossRoads and to be coordinating the 2023 Workcamp.  She also serves as the Local Coordinator for Week of Hope, a community service camp for youth in Indianapolis.


    In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her dog, Gus, caring for her houseplants, exercising, and volunteering with CrossRoads.

  • Josh Schreiner

    DIRECTOR OF PASTORAL CARE AND YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY

    Josh was born and raised in Minnetonka, Minnesota. During college Josh played college soccer and met his wife to be, Randi. Following seminary, he completed a Chaplain Residency at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo, IN where he served as a hospital chaplain. 

    After his seminary and training, Josh served as an associate pastor of Chinese Community Church of Indianapolis and presently works as a hospice chaplain for Suburban Hospice and part-time at CrossRoads Church.. While serving as a hospice chaplain Josh became a Board-Certified Chaplain (BCC) in 2021.  


    In his free time Josh enjoys fishing, hiking, and camping with his family. Josh and his wife Randi have lived in the Westfield area since 2008 and have two daughters. Josh is most passionate about seeing people come to faith in Christ.
